Housebuilder's deal

From the South Wales Argus, first published Tuesday 2nd Aug 2005.

IG Lintels is proving itself as leader of the pack, with the announcement that George Wimpey has signed a new two-year deal.

George Wimpey has recently signed up to extend the relationship with the Cwmbran-based manufacturer until 2007.

Richard Wood, managing director at IG, said: "The company builds around 14,500 units each year in the UK, of which IG supplies lintels for 45 per cent. We are pleased that George Wimpey has renewed its contract with us and we will continue to deliver the highest quality service."

The housebuilder chose to stay with IG as the firm's technical and distribution network is superior to those of competitors.

IG has invested a significant amount in improving its distribution network this year, ensuring that deliveries are made quickly and efficiently, to all parts of the country.
